Manny Café and Mission Local is causing SF Gentrification

The influence of both Manny’s Café and Mission Local is what’s wrong with San Francisco, in terms of the ongoing gentrification. They want a particular image, and it’s not us.

This started in 2018, when Manny built his 3,000 sq ft cafe off 16th & Valencia, to put elected officials and local dignitaries on a pedestal, and distract us from what they’re really about.

One of those people is conservative District Attorney Brooke Jenkins who will never hold SFPD accountable and dismantled the SF Innocence Project. At Manny’s, she’s given a platform, but she’s never questioned.

Another one is SF Supervisor Matt Dorsey. In 2018, he was a meth addict in the downtown streets of Frisco, but he “pulled himself by the bootstraps” and eventually became an SFPD pig. Now, he’s the biggest proponent for dismantling harm reduction services and introduced the Recovery First ordinance. Talk about a hypocrite…

This is all because Manny Yekutiel and the Mayor Daniel Lurie (Who’s also been showcased quite often) founded the Civic Joy Fund together to further infiltrate the political apparatus of SF. 

Mission Local highlights all of the Civic Joy events, including several in Matt Dorsey’s district. Meanwhile, the Mayor signs Dorsey’s Recovery First Ordinance.

And with all this coverage, the Mayor hasn’t been pressed about how he’s protecting ICE. He’s allowing SFPD to assist with all the kidnappings outside Samson street even though people have legal protections from the federal government. And we all know home raids are increasing.

Mission Local has been covering ICE at Samson Street, but they never say that the Mayor is complicit. This is because Mission Local is playing the game too. Three years ago they formed their own board with folks like Marty Baron, the former director of Washington Post, the Dean of journalism at UC Berkeley, Geeta Anand, to their ED Lydia Chavez who’s been known to record people without their consent. And ML Editor in Chief ESK just loves to prance himself around at Manny’s as the main facilitator. Marty Baron is still an active member.

But what I’m saying isn’t anything new…

GayShame has publicly boycotted Manny’s since inception, when Manny made a public statement on social media actively seeking to join pro Zionist groups.

Several other local orgs have had protests against Manny’s as well…
